About the Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to join a growing independent asphalt company known for a positive customer-focused culture and contracting excellence. Your earning potential is high with lots of overtime and regular full Saturdays days expected.
As the Asphalt Plant Operator, you will learn how to run and maintain a 300 tonne per hour asphalt plant. This is a multi-skilled team environment so you will also pitch in and learn the wheel loader, laboratory and dispatch.
Training will be provided. Regular weekend and night shift work is required so flexibility and a strong team work ethic are essential.
In return, you will receive an hourly rate of $25.03 for a trainee and $28.40 for an experienced operator as well as a Daily Allowance of $23.50, and a monthly RDO.
You must have:
- Fabrication, mechanical or fitting trade background
Ideally, you will also have one or more of:
- Experience running and maintaining large fixed plant;
- Wheel Loader and Fork Lift tickets;
- Good computing skills; and
- Experience working with SOPs and SWMS.
