ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

You will lead the largest division in the group with 145 people, producing over 3 million tonnes of road and civil construction materials each year. Operations are located in Melbourne, Brisbane and Port Kembla.

You will inherit a capable team across HSEQ, Sales, Production, Transport, Projects, Maintenance and Workshop functions.

The business assets include six operational sites with modern crushing plants, a fleet of on-highway trucks, a service and fabrication workshop and a fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment.

You will also be responsible for sustainably growing the business including commercialising new products and services and a focus on upcoming infrastructure opportunities in Metropolitan Melbourne.

You must have:

  • Proven leadership in a modern safety environment with zero harm thinking and managing high risks;
  • Credibility and relationships with Tier-1 civil construction companies and major project experience;
  • Experience running businesses with low margins and high fixed costs, eliminating waste and continuously improving productivity;
  • A track record of leading teams and developing people across disciplines including safety, production, sales, projects and maintenance; and
  • Experience with civil construction or quarry operations and equipment is highly desirable.
